PROJECT: Flashpay
ROLE: User Interface, Visual Design
DURATION: 3 Weeks
Overview
Flashpay is a payment app that allows shoppers make easy contactless payments at shops and retail stores within Nigeria. With the recent pandemic, human behaviour towards having physical contacts has been modified and this also affects the retail space. Supporting this is the fact that contactless payments tend to be faster and helps shoppers skip long queues at retail stores and supermarkets.

Product Features
Flashpay's features ranges from contactless payment, wallet top-up, and account upgrade,

-
Tap to pay
Shoppers pay for goods by tapping either their mobile device or debit card on a Flashpay point of sale system.
-
Pay with QR Code
This feature eases payments for users. Shoppers scan a generated Quick Response code provided by the checkout operator's display.
-
Fund Wallet
Shoppers can fund their Flashpay wallet via USSD, bank card, or bank transfer.
User Flows
To reflect how users will go about carrying out the primary features and tasks on the app, I highlighted the user flow of only 3 primary tasks; Paying with QR Code, Tap to Pay, Fund wallet with Bank Card.

Digital Wireframe
This wireframe low-fidelity shows a feel of how the design of the product would look like. Click or tap the image to have a broader view.

Style Guide
To communicate that Flashpay deals with users wealth and the fact that their funds can be safe with Flashpay, I used color purple (denotes wealth) and yellow (which denotes warmth). I also felt the Montserrat typeface is a good choice due to its variety of available font types and good display.
